Xavier Becerra

Corrupt…or
Incompetent?

Xavier Becerra wants California to trust him as our next governor because he has a long government resume.

But each line of that resume leaves us asking, “Is Becerra corrupt…or just incompetent?”

(Spoiler alert: the answer is “both.”)

Xavier Becerra
Experience

Candidate for Governor of California

2025–2026

  • Suddenly abandoned his support for single-payer healthcare, then took tens of thousands of dollars and accepted an endorsement from a powerful lobbying group opposed to it.
  • Took the maximum allowable donation from Chevron and REFUSED to give back the contribution, claiming “I need Chevron.”
  • Demands that reporters not ask him “hard questions
Conclusion: Corrupt and incompetent!

U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services

2021–2025

Conclusion: Seems pretty incompetent!

Attorney General of California

2017–2021

  • One top aide has pleaded guilty to stealing roughly $225,000 from Becerra's dormant campaign funds and another top aide is moving towards a federal plea deal. According to news reports, Becerra “okayed” the payments to his former top aides.
  • In 2025, Becerra said he knew about the payments and that he had authorized them, but in 2026, he reversed course and claimed he “didn't oversee” the payments to his own top advisors. So which is it?
  • Now he's avoiding answering reporters' questions on the topic.
  • Becerra took $15,100 from Chevron and $14,600 from Phillips 66 during his Attorney General campaign.
  • Did not continue the investigation started by previous Attorney General Kamala Harris into ExxonMobil over whether they misled the public about global warming, despite 18 House Democrats calling on Becerra to investigate.
  • Refused to release certain police misconduct records and even threatened reporters over lawfully obtained data.
Conclusion: Seems more corrupt!

U.S. House of Representatives

1993–2017

  • Xavier Becerra spent more than two decades in Congress but never became known for passing any major legislation with his name attached.
Conclusion: Seems pretty incompetent!

Corrupt or
Incompetent…
Does it matter?

Whether Becerra is corrupt or he’s incompetent, he’s not qualified to be the governor of California.

California is already voting. Spread the word.
